Child Safety at DPC

At Dubbo Presbyterian Church we value children and are committed to providing for the safety of all children entrusted to our care.

We have adopted the Breaking the Silence Child Protection Policy provided by the Presbyterian Church of NSW. This states in broad principles our approach to Child protection. Everyone working with Children at DPC has agreed to this policy. This includes a mandatory reporting policy.

Working With Children at DPC

Everyone working with Children at DPC is also by legislation required to undergo the NSW Government Working with Children Check. This is the same check that is done for teachers in government and private schools and pre-schools. Anyone working with children in any church context, paid or volunteer, is screened to have a Working with Children number from the NSW Government. We have all this in place to create an environment where children can be safe and our leaders can be trusted. The Presbyterian Church of NSW also requires that all leaders in the church act as mandatory reporters. This means that any abuse must be reported to the relevant legal authorities.
